On the afternoon of January 8, the “Sail at the Moment” China-Africa Economic and Trade Conference was held in Zhengzhou. Khamis Mussa Omar, Ambassador of Tanzania in China, and Envoy Zainabu Zuberi Massoro, along with over 200 participants including leaders from the Department of Commerce of Henan Province, presidents of various universities, and representatives of industries and enterprises, attended the conference. Hu Hao, YRCTI’s Deputy Party Secretary and President, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Hu introduced YRCTI’s development history and its specific measures in exploring “high-level educational capacity and high-quality integration between industry and education”. He stated that with the international educational strategy of “integrated design, dual efforts, and the fusion of three chains”, YRCTI has been following the national strategies, exerting efforts in both “bringing in” and “going global”, and promoting the deep integration of high-quality educational resource chain, international talent training chain, and emerging water-related industry chain, achieving fruitful results in international exchanges and cooperation. He emphasized that as a Secretary-General Unit, YRCTI will deeply engage in the “Future Africa Vocational Education Program”, advance the joint progress of universities and enterprises with the integrated development of education and industry, build Dayu Schools overseas with Chinese-funded enterprises, and implement “Chinese + Vocational Skills” programs with countries like Ethiopia and Tanzania to further deepen China-Africa vocational education cooperation and contribute to building an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.
Ambassador Omar introduced Tanzania’s policy environment, geographical location, climate conditions, and resource advantages. He expressed his hope that Chinese enterprises and universities could expand their business to Tanzania to further promote Sino-Tanzanian friendly cooperation and achieve mutual benefits. Xia Xinyan, President of Henan Polytechnic, Li Fusheng, Vice President of Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College, and representatives of various industry associations also delivered speeches.
