YRCTU Launches Faculty Training Program for KIMYO International University in Tashkent

On July 4, YRCTI hosted the opening ceremony for a faculty training program designed for a delegation from KIMYO International University in Tashkent at Room 502 of Training Building 7. President Hu Hao and Vice President Jian Haoran attended the event, joined by representatives from the Liaison and Cooperation Department and the School of Hydraulic Engineering, as well as all members of the visiting delegation. The ceremony was hosted by Ji Yao, Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department.

President Hu Hao warmly welcomed the delegation. He highlighted that the workshop serves as a crucial platform for deepening mutual understanding and strengthening trust between the two institutions, which will surely advance their partnership to a new stage. He stressed that China and Uzbekistan, as close and friendly neighbors with a shared future, enjoy broad prospects for educational cooperation. He expressed YRCTU’s readiness to join forces with KIMYO International University to broaden their collaborative fields and enrich their partnership’s content, thereby co-creating a new model for educational cooperation between China and Uzbekistan.

Vice President Jian Haoran briefly outlined the university’s profile, its international achievements, and its successful educational cooperation with Uzbekistan. He encouraged the faculty from both institutions to use this workshop to deepen professional ties, build academic friendships, and explore innovative teaching methods together. He added that greater cultural understanding through this program should spark broader, deeper collaboration in talent development, research, and cultural exchange for a win-win partnership.

Abdudzhamilova Muradovna, Head of the Office of Academic Affairs at KIMYO International University, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the warm hospitality and meticulous arrangements. She provided a comprehensive overview of KIMYO University’s historical development, academic structure, and talent development framework, highlighting the institution’s distinctive features and strengths in its curriculum and faculty. She also expressed her hope to leverage this training program to continuously deepen mutual understanding and expand the scope of cooperation between the two universities.

Next, Lei Heng, Dean of the School of Hydraulic Engineering, walked the delegation through the detailed schedule for the training program, outlining the learning plan and itinerary.

Following the meeting, the delegation toured the university’s labs, training centers, and the Yellow River Cultural Corridor. They praised YRCTU for its excellent training facilities, expert faculty, and impressive student outcomes.

The 10-day workshop hosts 16 faculty members from KIMYO International University. It is part of the “Walking through the Central Plains, Experiencing the Yellow River” cultural exchange series, which operates under the umbrella of Henan’s “Dahe Workshop”—a flagship project for taking vocational education global. The program is structured around three core modules: expert lectures, cultural experiences, and faculty exchanges. This diverse design aims to forge a bridge for educational partnership and mutual cultural understanding between the two institutions.
