On December 24, 2024, the Apple iSmart Manufacturing Training Program, organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering, was successfully held in the Industrial Robot Training Laboratory SY4103.

Commissioned by TÜV Rheinland (Guangdong) Ltd. and based on the faculty and equipment of the School of Mechanical Engineering, this Program aims to train outstanding corporate employees in multiple areas, including industrial robot technology, vision inspection, PLC intelligent networking, and additive manufacturing (3D printing). With a combination method of “theory + practice”, practical operation, and discussion, this Program provided the most cutting-edge and practical training for participants through demonstration, practical operation, and case analysis. Students all expressed that the Program has offered diverse training programs in different forms, including both theoretical learning and hands-on practice, which not only enhanced their professional literacy but also provided an opportunity to exchange practical experience with the instructors.

The Industrial Robot Training Laboratory was recognized as the Applied Industrial Robot Talent Training Center by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in 2017 and selected as the first TÜV Rheinland Industrial Robot Training and Examination Center in Central China in 2023. Moving forward, the Laboratory will leverage its rich resources, actively take on social responsibilities, and through university-enterprise training and exchanges, further strengthen cooperation between universities and enterprises to promote closer integration of vocational education with social needs, enhance students’ vocational abilities, and facilitate their personal development.
