Recently, the Integrated Teaching Standard for Engineering Machinery applied by YRCTI for vocational education in Ivory Coast has been successfully approved, which has also been included in the Future of Africa - China-Africa TVET Cooperation Program (“Future Africa Program”) by China Education Association for International Exchange.

In October 2024, at the invitation of AVIC-INTL PROJECT ENGINEERING COMPANY, the School of Mechanical Engineering of YRCTI participated in the application of the Vocational Education Project for Ivory Coast. This project aims to establish seven new universities and colleges to cultivate skilled talents in 14 professional directions, including engineering machinery and machining, and provide more talents as a strong support for the construction and development of Africa. Upon communication with the Vocational Education Department of Ivory Coast, YRCTI formed a working group composed of senior teachers in engineering machinery, industry experts, and an international cooperation team to conduct an in-depth analysis of the current status and needs of vocational education in Ivory Coast and other African countries and develop a compilation framework for the teaching standard in engineering machinery that fits the local conditions, which was successfully approved for initiation.

In January 2025, the China Education Association for International Exchange officially included the Integrated Teaching Standard for Engineering Machinery developed by YRCTI into the Future Africa Program, as one of the 14 integrated specialty teaching standards for Ivory Coast. This not only marks a solid step taken by YRCTI in the international cooperation in vocational education between China and Africa but also reflects YRCTI’s leading position in the specialty of engineering machinery.
The Future Africa Program represents a major international cooperation project jointly implemented by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and the Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA) under the guidance of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. It aims to coordinate domestic and international resources, establish a platform for China-Africa vocational education cooperation, and promote the exchanges and mutual learning in vocational education achievements between China and African countries, contributing to building a China-Africa community with a shared future.
