Recently, the China Scholarship Council announced the evaluation results of the Local Innovation Sub-projects of the Local Cooperation Project under the 2024 Special Program for Talent Training in the Western Region of China. The “International Innovative Water Governance Talent Training Program for the New Era in Henan” jointly applied for by YRCTI, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, and Henan Vocational College of Water Conservancy and Environment, has been approved. This Program represents the first Local Innovation Sub-project of the Local Cooperation Project by the China Scholarship Council in Hanan that was with the participation of vocational colleges.


This Program has an implementation period of three years (2025-2027). During the implementation period, the three universities can annually select and send 12 teaching and research personnel to study and exchange at foreign partner universities or research institutions as senior research scholars, visiting scholars, or postdoctoral fellows.
The “Local Innovation Sub-projects of the Local Cooperation Project under the 2024 Special Program for Talent Training in Western Region of China” is a special project established by the China Scholarship Council to better serve national strategies, meet the needs of local economic and social development, and effectively cultivate international, composite, and innovative talents for various regions. YRCTI will strictly follow the project requirements and, under the overall guidance of the China Scholarship Council and the Education Department of Henan Province, advance the implementation of the Program in a solid and effective manner and enhance the effectiveness of the Program to provide more intelligent talents as a strong support for promoting the high-quality development of water conservancy for the new era in Henan.
