On April 1, a cultural experience event themed “Wearing Chinese-Style Costume, Starting A Spring Green Tour in Shangsi Festival” was hosted by the School of International Education, attracting a large number of Chinese and international teachers and students to participate. Participants all dressed in Hanfu and strolled around the campus, immersing themselves in the unique charm of Chinese traditional culture. This event kicked off with a cultural lecture. Through vivid presentations and a wealth of historical materials, Teacher Ding Xiaoting introduced the origin and evolution of a traditional Chinese festival - the Shangsi Festival from the ancient Fuxi ceremony to the spring garden gathering to help participants better understand the cultural connotations of this festival. After that, Ding gave a detailed explanation of the historical development and contemporary significance of Hanfu and through interactive Q&A and live try-on, let the participants experience the allure of Hanfu. During the lecture, participants also learned traditional Chinese etiquette such as the Gongshou (fist and palm salute) and Yili (a salute with bow and folded hands), igniting the on-site atmosphere.

With the gentle spring breeze, green grass, and blooming flowers, teachers and students meandered through the campus in traditional Hanfu, which formed a spectacular picture. In addition, there were also several traditional games and cultural activities such as Touhu (Pitch-pot), poetry recitation, and talent shows, which everyone actively participated in, with laughter and cheers echoing constantly. The Tuanshan (circular fan) and Hanfu created a charming and harmonious scene and teachers and students captured a lot of wonderful moments with cameras.
